I was born in Corpus Christi, Texas in a modest home with my parents, four brothers and four sisters. My father, Arnulfo Rodriguez, was a barber who always had time to listen to those who
walked into his barber shop. Early on, my father instilled in all his children the importance of
respect, patience and kindness. My mother, Matilda Rodriguez, was a housewife who was strong, decisive and nurturing. From my parents, I learned to respect others, trust in those who earned it,
and greet all who I met with a smile.
My family and I have lived in San Antonio for over 20 years. I am presently married to
Hugo Rojas, a local physician and we have two children, Jesse and Briana. Jesse is a 3rd
year medical student at UTMB-Galveston and Briana is a senior at Claudia Taylor Johnson High School. My husband was born and raised here in San Antonio and attended Jefferson High School.
He has been practicing for over 20 years in his Southside neighborhood.
Before attending Law School at St. Mary’s University, I was employed as a Radiologic
Technologist for numerous hospitals, clinics, and physician’s offices in the state of Illinois and
Texas. I performed MRIs and CTs for over a decade and I discovered that my objective
in life was to help those in need. |

I have been practicing law here in San Antonio for over 7 years. I am a strong advocate
for children and families in crisis and I have experience in family law, criminal law, probate
law, employment law, and civil litigation. My dedication for the care and concern of others around me
is the reason I gladly devote about 30% of my practice to pro bono work. |
